Biography
Dr. SKS Lairikyengbam, the first Cardiologist of Manipur, is a distinguished Physician with over 36 years of excellence in heart care. He earned his M.D.(GIM) in 1983, D.M. Cardiology in 1988, and later achieved M.R.C.P. (UK) and F.R.C.P. (London). He is the recipient of British Clinical Excellence Award (2010). He served the British Government National Health Service for 16 years as Consultant Cardiologist and Head of Cardiology Clinical Governance at King George Hospital, BHR University Hospitals NHS Trust, London. Returning home, he founded the SKY Hospital, Manipur’s First Full-Fledged Heart Hospital, where he continues to lead as Chairman and Chief Cardiologist, transforming cardiac care across the North-Eastern states of India.
